Bliss provides Flexible Cancellation, an optional service that customers add at checkout and that Bliss delivers through the API documented here. Customers who add it can cancel for any reason within a defined window and receive a set refund amount. These pages cover integrating that service into your checkout and back office.

What is Flexible Cancellation?

Flexible Cancellation is an optional service the customer purchases separately at the time of booking or order, for a separately disclosed fee. It lets them cancel for any reason before a defined deadline and receive a predetermined refund amount. No reason is required and no documentation is requested. The refund amount is fixed, disclosed before purchase, and does not vary with the reason for cancellation.

What it does for merchants

• Earlier commitment. Customers who can change their mind commit sooner instead of waiting for plans to firm up.
• No refund desk. Bliss receives every cancellation request and runs the process end to end, so it never reaches your support queue.
• Higher conversion. Flexibility can be the deciding factor for a customer hesitating on a high-value order.
• A partner administration fee. You earn a fee for offering the option on your platform.

How it works

• For Consumers: Shoppers can opt-in for the option at the point of transaction, granting them the freedom to cancel their order within a predetermined timeframe, typically ranging from several weeks to several months after the orders, depending on the merchant's terms.
• For Merchants: When a customer cancels, Bliss confirms the cancellation against the window and the booking record, then processes the refund to the customer. Bliss does not assess the reason for cancellation. The refund is paid to the customer — never to the merchant.
